42nd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE COMITÉ MARITIME INTERNATIONAL
Half a century since its last conference on US soil, the CMI returns to New York City in May 2016 for its 42nd International Conference, hosted by the Maritime Law Association of the USA. The conference has been convened by the CMI mainly to bring to its New York Assembly necessary and hopefully consensual revisions of the York Antwerp Rules relating to General Average. But this will also be a very special gathering of kindred maritime lawyers and industry players – unprecedented in that the various specialist committees of the CMI and the MLAUS will hold joint sessions to share knowledge and experience in many topical issues of modern shipping law.
